Our History

We established Rampant Lion Pipes and Tobacco in 2022 on the idea of bringing quality cigar and pipe tobacco products to the beautiful community in Summerville, South Carolina. We have grown with our community, bringing an extra special experience to Jedburg Junction. We enjoy providing a home away from home for some of our patrons. Our mission is to continue giving our all to every single patron, making them feel at home while passing on our knowledge of cigars and pipes.

With our lounge, now serving wine and beer, and our friendly and knowledgeable staff, we will never steer you wrong when you are looking to enjoy a good smoke and relax. Our goal is to greet you with a friendly face and provide a place of relaxation where you can let all your worries melt away.

Owner

Erich

Erich is a 10 year veteran of the U.S. Navy. After leaving the service, he worked in the alcohol industry, giving him the in-depth knowledge needed to help you pair your tobacco selection with the perfect drink.

Following years in the alcohol industry, he took the opportunity to return to the water as a commercial diver/underwater welder. Although he will always enjoy the water, the opportunity to pursue entrepreneurship, be home with his family more and to get to know the Summerville community was too precious to let go. With the help of his wife, Tara, and the support from his family, they started Rampant Lion in 2022. Erich believes he is very fortunate to be part of this wonderful Summerville shop.

Tara

Tara is happily married to Erich and the mother of their three beautiful children. Her professional and educational background is in business and accounting. These skills allow her to help support Erich with Rampant Lion Pipes & Tobacco as well as other local small businesses. In her free time, she enjoys decorating and carving the cigar boxes to sell at the shop, target shooting, and exploring the beautiful lowcountry area.
